Red River Valley Components
This project was showing the cross-picking process. We started with the basic melody of the song, and then worked out a Carter Style arrangement. Next we used the Carter Style arrangement to then create a Cross-Picking arrangement.

An old folk song and sometime referred to as a “Cowboy Love song”. Here are some of the lyrics:
- From this valley they say you are going.
- We will miss your bright eyes and sweet smile,
- For they say you are taking the sunshine
- That has brightened our pathway a while.

- Do not hasten to bid me adieu.
- Just remember the Red River Valley,
- And the cowboy that has loved you so true.
